This chapter presents an overview of the harmonics modeling and simulation issues. Characteristics of various harmonic sources and consideration in their modeling are summarized. Component models are described. Different approaches to conduct analysis are discussed in a common framework. This chapter basically gives the outline of subsequent chapters of this tutorial.
